The 2800 Series is manufactured with a lift-lid book box constructed of heavy-duty, 20-gauge steel with rolled edges for added strength and safety. The writing surface/lid is 18" x 24" and is attached with a quality, full width piano hinge. Two spring hinges and rubber bumper cushions assure safe, secure and quiet operation even by young students. |
| When storage is not a requirement, Scholar Craft's 2700 Series offers you the same construction quality as the 2800 Series minus the book box. The 2700 and 2800 Series are both adjustable in height from 22" to 29" in one-inch increments. These series' crossbraced, U-shaped 16-gauge legs are totally self supporting. For security and stability at all heights, dual bolt attachments are used on the threaded, chromed steel leg inserts. If height adjustments are unnecessary, as an alternative to the 2700 Series we also offer our 2500 Series with 29" non-adjustable legs. |

The 2700 and 2800 Series consists of a self supporting frame of 1 1/4" tubular chromed steel MIG welded to the Clearview Compartment. The leg inserts are threaded 1 1/16" 16-gauge tubular swaged chromed-steel with dual high-quality 3/4" x 1/4" bolt attachments. One adjustable and three self-leveling rubber cushioned glides are available in either nylon or steel. |
