At Scholar Craft Products Inc., we believe that we have a a responsibility to be stewards for our environment. We continually search for ways to improve our manufacturing processes and daily operations to eliminate waste and to practice environmentally sound initiatives. Below is a listing of our "Green Initiatives" that will give some insight into the procedures and actions we tak in order to be responsible citizens.
Scholar Craft Products, Inc. uses an environmentally friendly powder coat system in the painting of our various chair and desk frames. All residual powder is recycled back through our system. Powder coated paint methods are much more environmentally friendly than traditional "wet" paint lines, substantially reducing volatile organic compounds.
All components are sourced from certified suppliers that must exceed Scholar Craft's exacting quality control standards.
All of our solid plastic component parts; seats, backs and writing surfaces, use 100% recycled hardwood material.
For all steel manufactured in the United States, Scholar Craft in partnership with our supplier has eliminated the use of hexavalent chrome on our steel for a plating process that is more environmentally friendly.
100% of all polyethylene and polypropylene products used by Scholar Craft are recyclable.
The steel used in the manufacturing of our frames for our chairs and tables is entirely recyclable.
The steel used in the manufacturing of our frames for our chairs and table is entirely recyclable.
The cartons used in our shipping and packaging is 100% recyclable and made from a high percentage of post consumer wastepaper.
In order to conserve energy, we use skylights in our manufacturing facilities.
